Paul @ CLASS Summer 1996
During the summer of 1996 I attended
Reg Pridmore's CLASS at NHIS New
Hampshire International Speedway. The following pictures were taken by
my parents. I have arranged them in roughly the turn order that one
goes around the track. The
grey squigly track is the road course at NHIS.
CLASS at NHIS is always right after the AMA Superbike weekend, Sunday: Watch
Miguel DuHammel win the superbike race. Monday & Tuesday: ride the same track.
I'm riding my 1993 Yamaha GTS1000AEC. This 550+ lb. "water buffalo" has a
catalytic converter, anti lock brakes, and electronic fuel injection. It also
has the "RADD" forkless front suspension. This suspension is relatively
immune to front end dive under braking. This allows you to easily trail brake
into turns, especially Turn #5 the "bowl". With new MEZ1 and MEZ2 tires the
GTS handled the fairly tight NHIS track well. I rode in the "B" group both
days, the B group didn't push the envelope all of the way round the track.
